Funded by UK Gov-01_1.png

If you’re aged 19 or over as of the 31st of August 2023, live in Tyne & Wear, Northumberland, or County Durham and have the right to live and work in the UK, you may be eligible for our Autumn 2023 Green Skills Bootcamps.

If you’re a business working in the wind industry, you may also be able to access funding to help train your employees. Renewable Field Services/Safer at Work Skills Bootcamps cover a high proportion of hands-on, practical activities, with experienced instructors helping you step-by-step.

The Skills Bootcamps in Green Skills is part of the Government's Lifetime Skills Guarantee, helping everyone gain skills for life. It is also partly funded by the North of Tyne Authority and supported by the North East LEP.

By the end of the programme, you will be guaranteed a job interview.

Through blended learning, each course has a selection of modules that will:

  •  Introduce the learner to the wind industry

  • Equip them with the GWO safety courses necessary for being able to work on wind turbines

  • Teach specific skills for a particular role within the industry

  • Include a familiarisation day at a wind farm*
This will be offered after the interview stage
